Our paraffin wax is a great choice for candle making. The refined paraffin is odorless, of perfect white color, burns cleanly and is also more economical than other types of candle bases.
Almost all types of candles can be made with paraffin wax. The melting point for this paraffin wax is around 140°F. This wax is ideal to be used for candles that need to stand on their own – votives, pillars, and other molded candles.
The net weight of unscented paraffin in this offer is 1 lb which will be enough to make either:
1 cylinder candle 2.75 x 4.70 inch, or
3 spherical candles 2.55 inch in diameter, or
4 classic taper candles 11.8 inch high.
Like most waxes, our paraffin expands when heated. In the process of cooling, it shrinks back down to its original volume. This shrinkage usually causes a void down the core of the candle, as well as shrinking away from the mold (allowing it to be removed more easily). In order to eliminate this void, you will need to refill the mold with hot paraffin to fill in the shrinkage.
Our high-quality refined paraffin can also be used to keep a variety of products, like matches, wood, bottles waterproof.
